About Rasmile
What is Rasmile?
Rasmile turns children's paper drawings into characters that move on the big screen. A child colours a sheet, a grown-up snaps it with a phone, and seconds later the drawing swims, races, dances or runs on the screen alongside their friends' drawings.
What ages is it for?
It's designed for children aged 3 to 10. Little ones love colouring and watching; older kids love the race and the adventure.
Which experiences are there?
Four: Ocean, Rocket Race, Dress-Up Party and Castle Quest. See them and watch them live. More are in the works.
Which languages does it speak?
Arabic first, and English. The dashboard and the phone page switch between the two, and the colouring sheets carry both.
Hardware and setup
What hardware do we need?
A screen with a browser (a smart TV, a projector, an interactive wall or a laptop plugged into a screen) and a phone with a camera. Plus a printer if you colour on paper. That's it.
Does it work on a smart TV?
Any screen with a modern browser will do. If the TV's built-in browser is old or slow, a laptop or a small PC connected with HDMI does the job.
Do we need to install an app?
No. Everything runs in the browser: the dashboard, the screen and the phone page for snapping.
Does it need the internet?
Yes: the phone and the screen need a connection to send drawings. If it drops for a moment, the screen keeps the show going and reconnects by itself.
How do we print the sheets?
From the dashboard, on any printer, on A4 or Letter paper. Print as many as you need; just make sure the whole sheet prints, all four corners included.
Can kids colour without paper?
Yes. The phone page has a “Colour on this device” button: kids colour on a tablet or phone with a finger, and the colour stays inside the lines. Find out more.
How many kids can take part?
As many as you have sheets. In the Ocean you choose how many creatures show at once (up to 60), one race takes up to 8 rockets, and Castle Quest has 7 parts, with extra drawings waiting for the next adventure.
Can we run more than one screen?
Yes. Create a screen for each classroom or zone; each has its own experience and room code.
Kids and data
Do you keep photos of children?
No. The phone photo is processed in memory and discarded immediately; it's never written anywhere. Only the cut-out drawing is kept. The child doesn't need to be in the picture at all.
How long are drawings kept?
24 hours by default; each organization can change that to anything from 1 hour to 30 days. “Delete now” removes everything immediately.
Who can see the drawings?
Whoever is around your screen, and your team in the dashboard. Every organization is fully separate, and drawings aren't published anywhere else.
Can we check drawings before they appear?
Yes. Switch on approval for any screen and drawings wait for your OK in the dashboard.
Do children's names appear?
Not unless you want them to. Name labels are off by default. If you switch them on, a grown-up can add a short nickname, and you can edit or remove it.
Where can I read the details?
On the safety and privacy page and in the privacy policy.
Pricing and demos
How much does Rasmile cost?
It depends on your place: how many screens you have and how you'll use it. Talk to us and we'll put together an offer that fits.
Can we try it first?
Of course. Book a demo and we'll show you Rasmile in action; we can also set up a private trial account for your place. And right now you can watch the experiences live.
How do I sign up?
For now we set up each organization's account ourselves. Book a demo and we'll arrange everything with you. If you already have an account, use “Staff sign in”.
